At the last Yardley Borough Council meeting last week, the council voted 4 to 3 to hire a lawyer to oppose our Taproom Zoning Hearing Board application. Vault Taproom is looking for zoning relief to expand the kitchen, so we do not have to prepare food at Vault and bring it up to Taproom throughout the night. We also want to install a commercial smoker so we can offer authentic barbecue. We need a zoning variance to be able to do the
kitchen expansion. We are not requesting any other zoning consideration other than the ability to prepare food at the Taproom kitchen.
Please see the attached article which summarizes the last council meeting. It would have been nice to have been notified by Council President David Bria that council was preparing a vote to oppose our variance request. We could have offered a perspective on our plans and corrected many misconceptions that were shared at the meeting.
If you are interested in having your voice heard on this decision, please join the borough council zoom meeting at 7:30 pm on Tuesday May 18th (Yardley Borough primary election day). We will post the meeting zoom link as soon as it is available.
We love Yardley and are committed to making this awesome community even better, but we need your help.
